New Friends.

The Red Cactus, is a little bar, with some amazing owners.  Matt is from Canada, well Winnipeg actually, and he has been in Jinhua for almost seven years.  He originally opened a bar called Cheers, has since sold it and opened the Red Cactus.  Locals and foreigners alike come to this bar for some great music, good friends and even better conversation.  Matt has been welcoming, and helpful to Colleen and I, probably because Kyra Knapp would kick his butt if it was any other way ;).  This is a little gem, and I'm excited to have a little place where we can kick back and relax.

Speaking of new friends.  Colleen and I met these two crazies last night.  John, on the left is from the UK, and Max on the right is from the States.  They are both teaching English at a foreign school here in Jinhua.  I believe both have been here for two years.

On the right is some Oyster Shooters!! Aunt Pat and Uncle Paul, you know what I'm talking about! New experiences everywhere, the decision to start eating street food, so far has been a good one! They threw these on the bbq, smothered them in garlic and then we sucked them back. YUMMMM!

The choices for street meet were endless.  Colleen opted out of the any type of seafood and went for the straight up meat on a stick. You go girl.

Speaking of new friends, the below photo's were taken pretty close to our school.  I (and I'm sure others) were getting a little claustrophobic marking papers all day and sticking close to the school. Terrence and Solomon were kind enough to take us on their e-bike's down the road to partake in some singing and beverage drinking.  I love being on campus but sometimes you just need to get out.  Terrence caught this photo when I wasn't paying attention.  Love.

New friends.  The four of us are headed to Hangzhou tomorrow for some fun adventures. We'll be taking off in the AM on the train, staying in a hostel and adventuring around the city.  Looks like we may even be able to find a Subway there!  Time to leave the books behind and actually have some fun on this holiday.

Ummmm, Colleen you dropped something.
